Ordering the wrong size is the most common reason cooler door seals fail early. Use this guide before you buy a replacement commercial refrigeration gasket.
Measure the outside height and outside width of the gasket from outer edge to outer edge. Do not stretch the gasket while measuring. Record both numbers in inches (for example, 27-1/2" x 54-3/4").
Most commercial cooler door gaskets snap into a channel with a dart (arrow-shaped stem). Photograph the cross-section of the dart and note whether it is a single dart, dual dart, or push-in style. Matching the profile is as important as matching the size.
Magnetic gaskets seal against a steel door frame. Non-magnetic (compression) gaskets are used on some walk-ins and specialty doors. If a magnet sticks to your current bulb seal, order magnetic.
If you know the OEM (True, Beverage-Air, Bally, Delfield, etc.) and model number, start with our gaskets by manufacturer categories for a faster match.
Should I measure the door or the gasket? Prefer the gasket outside dimensions. If the gasket is missing, measure the door opening channel carefully and contact us with photos.
Do you make custom sizes? Yes — see custom-made gaskets or call 1-646-724-0434.
